Dapoli, situated in Ratnagiri district, is known for its mountainous terrain, pleasant greenery and serene atmosphere.

This town is located about 800 feet above the sea level. Between 1818 and 1857 it was a prominent British army base. It was then known as Camp Dapoli. Today Dapoli has grown and become a neat little township with good roads, market, hotels, resorts, etc. It is increasingly becoming a tourist destination.

The costal side of Dapoli is the crown jewel of this beautiful small town. There are overall 9 beaches along the costal side of Dapoli.


About Kelshi

Kelshi is the northern end of Dapoli taluka and is about 34km away from main Dapoli city. This village was established in Peshwa era. Parallel and perpendicular grids of roads and water canals show the richness of town planning at that time.
